About Abia State University
Abia State University was founded in 1981 in the Nigerian state of Abia.
The university has faculties in business administration, environmental studies, engineering, humanities, biological sciences, clinical medicine, medicine and health sciences, education, law, agriculture, remedial studies, political sciences, physical sciences, social science and pharmacy.
There are also a range of centres and institutes that are part of the university including the Centre for Entrepreneurial Education, the Institute for Arts and Sciences, the Institute for Computer Studies and the Centre for Igbo Studies.
There is also a Student Counselling Centre which offers support for students.
