The role involves the day‑to‑day operation of the department’s laboratories and student-facing practical support. The Technical Officer will be a key member of the technical support team, ensuring that laboratories, teaching spaces, and equipment are well maintained and operate safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards. Salary: Technical Officer: €47,619 – €62,315 p.a. (7 points) Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions. Full-time fixed-term for two years at Camperdown Join a high-performing research support environment Base Salary HEO 9, $146,197 - $154,260 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity As the Research Support Manager, you will play a critical role in operationalising research support functions for the 7 schools in the Faculty of Engineering, ensuring effective resource deployment and alignment with the Faculty's research strategy. Working under broad direction, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across research development activities, grant application processes and research data management. You will partner closely with academic leaders, professional staff and external stakeholders to strengthen research culture, improve funding outcomes and deliver high-quality research support services across the 7 Schools.
