For students seeking a postgraduate qualification that combines academic excellence, creative intelligence and international ambition, the master’s in management at ICN Business School offers a distinctive proposition. Positioned at the intersection of management, art and technology, and backed by the prestigious triple accreditation – AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA – ICN stands among a select group of business schools worldwide recognised for the highest international standards in management education.

The two-year programme is delivered across the school’s campuses in Paris, Nancy and Berlin, offering students exposure to diverse economic and cultural environments. “The underlying objective of the programme is to develop management professionals for organisations at a local, national and international level, across functions and industries,” explains Gérald Duffing, director of the master’s programme and associate professor in the Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems Management at ICN Business School.

Students benefit from a carefully structured combination of academic rigour and experiential learning. Duffing describes a “careful balance of class lectures, seminars, workshops, individual and group work, and self-study”, designed to foster both analytical depth and practical agility. A defining feature of ICN’s approach is its longstanding commitment to interdisciplinarity. In 1999, the school co-founded the Artem Alliance alongside the National School of Art and Design of Nancy, establishing a pioneering collaboration between art, technology and management that continues to shape ICN’s pedagogical philosophy.

In practice, this translates into an enhanced portfolio of joint elective modules spanning arts, sciences and technology, alongside immersive formats such as creative business days and applied projects with local businesses and community organisations. Students are encouraged to challenge conventional management thinking by engaging with diverse disciplines and perspectives.

Comprehensive student support reinforces this experience. Each student meets the programme director during orientation, and international students benefit from a dedicated induction session that assists with administrative procedures such as identity cards, bank accounts and course registration. Tailored support is also available for students with special educational needs or disabilities, including adapted IT equipment where required.

Professional development is embedded throughout the two years. Students receive personalised career guidance, workshops in career assessment and exploration, and preparation for interviews and internships at both national and international levels. Training in personal development, research and consultancy skills runs in parallel with academic modules, ensuring graduates are equipped with both technical expertise and professional maturity.

Corporate partners are actively involved in the governance, design and delivery of programmes at ICN, offering internships and apprenticeships and contributing directly to classroom learning. Students regularly engage with professional partners through classes, networking events, career conferences and recruitment forums. The programme requires between six and nine months of cumulative professional experience, a semester abroad and validation of a high level of English-language proficiency. With more than 120 partner universities in 40 countries, students can pursue study exchanges or double degrees in management, law and engineering, reinforcing the school’s strong international orientation.

“The master’s in management aims to train responsible business managers who will play a leading role in the global economic and social environment by supporting them in the development and achievement of their personal and professional objectives,” Duffing says. Students are encouraged to cultivate curiosity, analytical capability and critical thinking in order to understand the evolving dynamics of professions and organisational needs.

Through its integration of creativity, management expertise and global exposure – underpinned by internationally recognised triple accreditation – ICN Business School offers a master’s in management designed for students who aspire to shape the global business landscape.
