The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The list includes 268 universities from 55 countries.

The list is led by the UK’s University of Leicester. Australia’s Western Sydney University ranks second, while New Zealand’s University of Auckland and Canada’s University of British Columbia are in joint third place.
Japan is the most-represented nation in the table with 36 institutions, followed by the UK with 16 and Russia with 14.
