The School of Engineering continues to grow rapidly, particularly in the delivery of undergraduate programs, and through the expansion of its facilities and infrastructure. POSITION PURPOS

A Level B Research Fellow academic is expected to carry out team research within the field in which he/she is appointed and to carry out activities to develop his/her research expertise relevant to the particular field of research. The Research Fellow has to demonstrate outstanding contributions to School of Engineering publication, and deliver high expectations in research. He/she is expected to publish a minimum of two Q1 papers (with one paper in a top 10% journal) per annum as the first author.

Reporting Line: The position reports to Professor Chong Meng Nan (Supervisor, School of Engineering)

Supervisory responsibilities: This position provides direct supervision to a predetermined number of FYP and PhD students

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific duties required of a Level B Research Fellow include:


	Research Contribution: Contribute to multiple research projects within the Centre for Net-Zero Technology under the guidance and direction of your Supervisor.
	Scholarly Publications: Produce high-quality research outputs, including publishing at least two Q1 journal articles per year as first author, with a minimum of one paper published in a Top-10 (T10) journal.
	Grant and Reporting Support: Provide comprehensive support in preparing and developing research proposals, progress reports, and other documentation required for research funding applications.
	Student Mentorship: Mentor and provide appropriate assistance to graduate research students and final-year undergraduate students affiliated with your Supervisor’s research group and the Centre.
	Research Engagement: Actively participate in the broader research, scholarly, and collaborative activities of your Supervisor’s research group and the Centre.
	Research Student Support: Take responsibility for providing day-to-day academic advice and research support to graduate research students associated with your research group.


KEY SELECTION CRITERIA


	PhD qualification in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline, with a strong record of scholarly and professional achievement and demonstrated expertise in data-driven and mechanistic modelling, process simulation, advanced numerical and mathematical modelling, and/or multiscale modelling, with applications to hydrogen technologies, industrial decarbonisation, and the transition of hard-to-abate industries towards net-zero emissions.
	Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality and impactful research in the relevant fields of specialisation, supported by a strong track record of refereed publications and experience in applying data-driven, mechanistic and numerical modelling approaches to address complex engineering, energy and sustainability challenges.
	Demonstrated ability to contribute to research grant acquisition and project delivery, including supporting the development and preparation of competitive research and industry funding proposals, particularly for government, industry and international funding schemes. The candidate should also be capable of contributing to post-award project administration and execution, including research planning and coordination, stakeholder engagement, preparation of technical reports and deliverables, monitoring of project progress, and the timely achievement and completion of project milestones.
	Demonstrated capacity for innovation, including the ability to generate original ideas, build upon existing knowledge, and develop novel concepts and practical solutions.
	Willingness and capacity to contribute to collegial research activities, including collaboration within interdisciplinary and multi-stakeholder research environments.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to provide academic leadership in evidence synthesis across the Population Health Sciences Institute, working within a shared leadership model to support the strategic development, integration, visibility and sustainability of evidence synthesis activity across research groups and NIHR infrastructure.

The postholder will lead the development and delivery of a high-quality evidence synthesis education portfolio across postgraduate and continuing professional development programmes, ensuring that evidence synthesis methodologies are embedded within curricula and aligned with emerging research and policy needs. They will contribute to the development of future evidence synthesis capacity through teaching, supervision, mentorship and curriculum innovation.

Alongside this educational leadership, the postholder will build a coherent programme spanning methodological innovation in evidence synthesis, applied evidence synthesis (including health technology assessment), and interdisciplinary collaboration within a highly collegiate research environment.

The role will play a key part in strengthening evidence synthesis as a visible and sustainable academic discipline within the Institute, integrating research, teaching and knowledge mobilisation activities. This will include developing income-generating educational and research activity, contributing to major collaborative infrastructure programmes, and enhancing the national and international profile of the Institute's evidence synthesis expertise.

Key Accountabilities


	To provide strategic leadership in the development, advancement and application of evidence synthesis methods across research, education, policy and practice.
	To lead and develop evidence synthesis education across undergraduate, postgraduate and professional development programmes, driving curriculum innovation, digital and blended learning, student supervision, and excellence in the learner experience
	To provide academic leadership through supervision, mentoring, and capacity building, supporting the development of postgraduate students, early career researchers and the future evidence synthesis workforce.
	To contribute to and help shape the academic leadership of the Evidence Synthesis Group (ESG), supporting its strategic development within a broader interdisciplinary and infrastructure-rich environment
	To develop and lead programmes of applied evidence synthesis (including systematic reviews, HTA, rapid and policy-facing reviews) that generate independent research income aligned to funder priorities (e.g. NIHR, UKRI, charities).
	 To lead the development and submission of research proposals to external funders, managing projects to ensure delivery within budget, milestones, and timelines
	 To work across Institute and NIHR infrastructure programmes to strengthen the visibility, coherence, sustainability and impact of evidence synthesis, building national and international collaborations.
	To lead and contribute to high-quality research outputs, knowledge mobilisation and dissemination, including peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and policy-facing outputs delivering societal impact

The role 

As a Watersports Advisor you will be part of a highly motivated and organised Watersports team responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient daily operation of the facilities and on water activities. Based at the University Watersports Centre you will be responsible for:


	Ensuring safe operation of the site
	Overseeing on water activities including RYA instruction
	Assisting senior members of staff with the running of the building, including the changing rooms and on water activities

This post is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be working set hour working patterns, 35 hours a week averaged over a number of weeks.

As a Royal Yachting Association Training Centre this role holder will be required to teach a variety of activities leading to recognised qualifications such as Power Boat level 2 or Day-skipper Practical. Noting there is a wide variety of qualifications available, it is expected that the candidate will hold some Instructor qualifications upon appointment and will develop more in time.

About the Job

As Training Lead for the SRS Transformation Programme, you will lead the training workstream supporting the introduction of Ellucian Banner, UEL’s new student records system. You will develop and maintain the training plan, oversee training needs analysis, coordinate the design and delivery of engaging learning solutions, and ensure training activity aligns with the wider change and engagement strategy.

You’ll be an experienced Digital or IT Training professional with a strong background in delivering training to diverse audiences and creating high-quality digital learning content. With excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, you’ll be organised, proactive and able to work independently as well as within a team. Position Summary

The Lecturer contributes to Teaching and Research, and Engagement in the Management Program within the Department of Management. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the program to meet the needs of students and other stakeholders, ensure a consistent level of research is undertaken to support relevant research clusters in the Business School. He/She may deliver courses across related programs as directed.

The incumbent also contributes to the strategic direction setting of the program, department, and School by working collaboratively with other relevant members of the department to plan and develop courses, programs, and engagement activities. The successful candidate assists the Senior Program Manager on occasion with administrative decisions and tasks.

The scope of responsibilities includes supporting the formulation of strategic planning for the program, course management, where needed, quality assurance, student relationship management, human resource management, program budgeting and resource management and research planning.

Key accountabilities


	Undertake independent teaching at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate level including: designing, conducting and moderating assessment; implementing improvements informed by course evaluation activities and student feedback.
	Undertake independent professional activities, scholarship and/or conduct high quality research activities appropriate to the profession or discipline including: managing individual projects within timelines and budgets and ensuring compliance with quality and reporting requirements; publishing research results in high quality outlets as lead or co-author; preparing and submitting external research funding applications; and supervising higher degree by research candidates.
	Undertake administration duties, which may include course coordination role or management of a small award program.

Expected Research profile

To be considered for a lecturer position at RMIT Vietnam in The Business School, you will need to be able to meet the following research criteria.


	For candidates with a PhD awarded within the last 3 years (Early Career Academic), although there are no requirements you are expected to be research active.
	For candidates with a PhD awarded within the last 3- 5 years there are requirements of peer reviewed journal articles published within the previous five-year window, you need to be active in relevant research areas.
	For candidates with a PhD awarded more than 5 years ago: you will be expected to demonstrate a minimum of 2 peer reviewed journal articles, of which must be ranked in Scimago or ABDC and preferably both in Q1/A ranking or equivalent, within the previous five-year window.
