It is the only university in New Zealand to offer courses on aviation, dispute resolution, veterinary medicine, and nanoscience. Notable alumni include rugby union player Rico Gear, Olympic sailor Jo Aleh and deputy prime minister of New Zealand Paula Bennett.

The University also hosts the Sydney Mathematical Research Institute (SMRI), which attracts leading mathematical scientists from all over the world to do research with Australian collaborators. We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate / Fellow in Representation Theory. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Professor Kevin Coulembier and Associate Professor Daniel Tubbenhauer. The project is concerned with representation theory in a broad sense, with a focus on the role of monoidal (tensor) structures and on large-scale / asymptotic behaviour of algebraic and categorical constructions. The aim is to develop general methods and apply them to concrete families arising across modern representation theory. About the area The School of Human Sciences is a large multi-disciplinary School that makes a significant contribution to teaching and research in the Physiology discipline. About you A relevant PhD or equivalent professional standing, with eligibility for registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse. Demonstrated excellence in tertiary teaching, including innovative assessment, reflective practice and contribution to curriculum development. Strong understanding of accreditation, quality assurance and the relationship between teaching, scholarship and clinical practice. Collaborative, inclusive and committed to contributing positively to School activities, diversity principles and a supportive student experience.
