Queen's University Belfast - Look 'there' for innovation

A £7.5 million research hub dedicated to exploring the future of technology has opened in Northern Ireland. The Ansin facility at Queen's University Belfast, which takes its name from the Irish word for "there", has been set up in collaboration with data-storage company Seagate Technology. The hub will investigate advances in computer hard drives, sensors and advanced coatings. Based in Queen's School of Mathematics and Physics, Ansin will, it is hoped, attract a wide range of international businesses able to assist advances in medical technology and security devices.
