University of Nottingham - Fast lane for respiratory research

Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies has opened a clinical trials unit for respiratory illnesses that aims to bridge the gap between research and treatment. The unit at Nottingham Respiratory Biomedical Research Unit will offer clinical services to NHS patients in addition to carrying out trials on new drugs and therapies. Nottingham Respiratory BRU is a partnership between the University of Nottingham and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust that encompasses 10 research groups working on biomedical, epidemiological and clinical respiratory research.
