Writers of Chinese descent are to be supported by a new initiative at the University of Bolton. The university will launch its Writers' Pathway scheme in February, in conjunction with the Chinese Arts Centre in Manchester. Poets, novelists and playwrights can submit samples of their work, and a panel of professional writers and university tutors will choose the 12 best to participate in a 14-week programme featuring a residential workshop.
