University of Teesside - In the fraud quad

The first UK degree programme to deal specifically with how to manage economic crime will start enrolling students this autumn. The new BA in economic crime management at the University of Teesside combines a range of subjects - including fraud investigation, financial crime and white-collar crime - to equip students for jobs in areas such as law enforcement, regulation and compliance. John Peters, senior lecturer in fraud and financial crime, said economic crime costs the UK £32 billion a year. There is growing demand in both the public and private sectors for graduates with fraud investigation training, he said.
