The Social Sciences table evaluates universities across key disciplines: Communication and Media Studies, Politics and International Studies (including Development Studies), Sociology, Geography and Anthropology. This year’s rankings include 1,093 institutions from 100 countries and territories, which have been assessed based on 18 rigorous performance indicators. These are the same metrics used for the THE World University Rankings 2025 - trusted worldwide by students, teachers, academics, governments and industry experts - but the methodology has been recalibrated to suit the discipline.
