A centre of excellence for engineering and robotics has been launched in a disadvantaged area of Croatia. With help from the University of the West of England and the European Union, the Centre of Mechatronics in Karlovac will integrate activities between the Polytechnic and Technical School of Karlovac and the region's industrial base, which includes power-generation and brewing companies.
