University of Manchester - Chemical engineering boost

Plans have been announced for a £30 million chemical engineering facility at the University of Manchester. It will serve the School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science, and will accommodate research facilities, plus teaching and academic offices. Work is scheduled to start on the £11.5 million initial phase in May 2010, followed by a £18.5 million second phase. The project is part of the university's overall £650 million redevelopment programme.
