Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, named after the 18th-century Turkmen poet and Sufi scholar Dovletmamed Azadi, was set up in 1983, following orders from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Turkmenistan and the Supreme Council of the TSSR. Initially known as the Ashgabat Pedagogical Institute of the Russian Language and Literature, it started operating in 1984. Over the years, it has had d several name changes, finally becoming the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages in 1995. Today, the institute is a modern higher-educational institution in Turkmenistan. It aligns its efforts with the new reforms started by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the field of education and science. The main aim of the institute is to train highly qualified linguists, philologists, foreign-language teachers and translators proficient in state and foreign languages, to contribute to the national economy of Turkmenistan. To achieve this, the institute offers training in 14 language specialities and includes five faculties and 17 departments. The faculties at the institute include: English language and literature, European languages and literature, Russian language and literature, Oriental languages and literature, and the school of continual professional development faculty. The curriculum and programmes at the institute are designed to adhere to world standards, with a duration of five years of study for a bachelor's degree and an added year for a master's degree. The institute offers a wide range of language-training majors, including English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Turkmen language and literature.

Exceptionally outstanding candidates may be considered for appointment on tenure terms, subject to University’s approval.  Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Medicine, Surgery, Biomedical Engineering, Health Science, or a related discipline, with proven experience in clinical research and research project management. They should have (i) a strong record of high-quality research as indicated by impactful publications and external grants, (ii) evidence of international recognition, (iii) cross-disciplinary collaborative ties locally and internationally, and (iv) an outstanding record of teaching, mentoring and supervising research postgraduate students.     The appointees are expected to participate in the planning and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supervise research staff and research postgraduate students, conduct high-quality scholarly research, and contribute to services/administration at the Department and Faculty levels. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable. Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently seeking an academic with expertise in Landscape Architecture, and we will consider applicants from entry level to senior academics, to join the exciting, new Wellington Institute of Zhengzhou University joint educational partnership in Zhengzhou, China, on a permanent, full-time basis. The level of appointment, either Pūkenga - Lecturer, Pūkenga Matua - Senior Lecturer, or Ahonuku - Associate Professor, will depend on the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications. This role is based in China full-time and teaching is to be conducted in English. Reporting to the Associate Director, Safety, Health and Environment, you will provide an advisory and monitoring service on the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and relevant successor fire safety legislation or standards, to ensure a coordinated strategic approach to the management of fire safety risk, the achievement of a positive culture and high standards of fire safety performance. Within this collaborative, cross-discipline team, you will undertake the functions of a ‘competent person’; conduct and review fire risk assessments; review building fire strategies; conduct DSEAR Risk Assessments; and review the university’s Fire Risk Management Plan and relevant Policy documents. In addition, you will carry out fire safety audits and inspections of university buildings; deliver fire safety training; devise emergency plans for university buildings; communicate and implement annual fire drill programmes; advise on fire risk management to Faculties and Professional Services; and liaise with our Estate Development Department concerning building alterations, passive fire detection and firefighting equipment. Key to success in this role will be a consultative and facilitative style of service delivery, with resilience to ensure that failings are challenged and resolved, with the ability to build internal and external relationships, based on trust and confidence, to engender a co-operative and collaborative environment. You will be a graduate, or have relevant experience, with membership of a relevant professional organisation and qualified to Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety, or IFE Level 4 Certificate in Fire Science or Fire Safety, or CFPA Level 4 Diploma, or other recognised professional qualification. You will also be on a nationally recognised Fire Risk Assessors register. You will have the skills and experience to teach computer science courses for students in the Bachelor of Design in Interface Design.
