Universidade Rainha Njinga a Mbande was established in 2020 following the merger of the Instituto Superior Politécnico de Malanje with the Escola Superior Politécnica de Malanje and the Instituto Superior Técnico Agro-alimentaria de Malanje. The university is named after the 17th century Queen of Angola, Njinga Mbandi. The university is located in Malanje, a city in north-central Angola. The university is organised into three academic units: the faculty of medicine, the polytechnic institute, and the institute of agro-food technology. Within each unit there are a range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes available for students to study.

We are seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse active on the NMC register to join the Mental Health Nursing Team in the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health at the University of Southampton. The team is experienced, friendly, and supportive and is enthusiastic and committed to developing the Mental Health Nurses of the future. Mental Health Nurses with experience working with children, young people and their families, as well as those with extensive knowledge of working with older people, would complement our current team, but this is not essential. You will be involved in the face-to-face delivery of our nationally recognised pre-registration BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing, our Integrated Masters of Nursing leading to registration as a Mental Health/Adult Nurse or Children’s/Mental Health Nurse, and our 2 year MSc Mental Health Nursing programme. You will have an exceptional understanding of issues facing contemporary clinical practice in Mental Health Nursing founded in your own clinical practice. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for outstanding nurse education and has a dynamic vision for how education and research can transform mental health care across the lifespan. You will have completed a Masters level qualification and ideally have higher education experience. However, we are also keen to hear from Mental Health Nurses who have a passion for teaching students and would like to develop a career in education.
