Queen's University Belfast - Cancer research first

Northern Ireland's first Cancer Research UK centre has opened at Queen's University Belfast. The centre will research new treatments with fewer side-effects for cancer sufferers, and focus in particular on treating bowel, oesophageal and breast cancer. Based at the university's Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology, it is the third research centre of its kind to open in the UK.
