Graduates from a London art and design college enjoyed a place at the Oscars. Animation duo Adam Foulkes and Alan Smith, graduates of the Royal College of Art's animation department, were shortlisted for an Oscar for This Way Up, a short black comedy about death, but the prize went to La Maison en Petits Cubes.
