University of Wolverhampton - Minister opens £12m centre

A new £12 million education and teaching building has been opened at the University of Wolverhampton. Jim Knight, the Schools Minister, formally opened the building, which includes specialist teaching facilities and a 250-seat lecture theatre. The building also houses the Institute for Learning Enhancement, which collaborates with academics to strengthen educational research, curriculum innovation and work-based learning. The new director of the institute is Glynis Cousin, who joins from her previous role as senior adviser at the Higher Education Academy in York.
