North South University (NSU), the first private university in Bangladesh was established in 1992, with the vision to fill the vacuum of higher education in the private sector of Bangladesh. The dream, during its inception was to set up a world-class university as a centre of excellence in higher education. Today, NSU has evolved into an educational behemoth in the region, with over 22,000 undergraduate and graduate students. NSU is organized into four schools (School of Business and Economics, School of Engineering and Physical Sciences, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Health and Life Sciences); offering 23 undergraduate programs, and 16 graduate programs; throughout the year in a tri-semester arrangement. The average cost of attending NSU as a student is also at par with other private universities in Bangladesh. And the estimated cost for an undergraduate student is around $1800-3000 per academic year. Moreover, students also have the opportunity to utilize financial aid in the form of academic scholarships, tuition waiver, study loans, and student employment. Facilities Founded on 5.5 acres of beautifully landscaped area, NSU’s vibrant campus has the state-of-the-art facilities and stands out as an eminent university campus in Dhaka. The 1.2 million sq. ft. floor space contains more than 120 classrooms, lecture theatres and exam halls equipped with latest teaching aids. It has WiFi access across campus and a fully automated library. Graduate Employability NSU proudly boasts its graduate employment rate to be over 90%.
