The Infocomm Technology (ICT) Cluster (Department) The ICT cluster is the largest cluster in SIT in by student intake. Our cluster moulds electronic and computer engineers, computer scientists, AI engineers, interactive media and game development experts, software engineers, and information security specialists. We invite applications for Lecturer and Senior Lecturer positions. This role focuses primarily on teaching and student development, contributing to SIT’s applied learning approach. We welcome passionate educators, preferably having good relevant industry experience, who are committed to nurturing the next generation of professionals in areas such as: Information Security: Mobile security, cyber-physical systems, security analytics, digital forensics, malware analysis, vulnerability assessment, privacy technologies, and AI security. Computer Science and Software Engineering: Software development lifecycle (SDLC), requirement analysis, design, testing, performance optimisation, databases, computer graphics, distributed systems, computer vision, and multimedia analytics. AI and Emerging Fields: Industrial IoT, computational fintech, robot-human interaction, trustworthy AI, explainable AI, large language models, future communications/5G, and quantum computing. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate and conduct all teaching assignments for undergraduate and graduate students and continuous education programmes. Develop teaching materials and applied learning experiences that are relevant to industry needs and practices, and implement modern pedagogies. Mentor and advise students on academic and career development. Supervise student projects and applied learning projects. Contribute to curriculum design, innovation, and continuous programme improvement. Participate in educational initiatives and activities to enhance student learning outcomes. Requirements: A PhD or a Master’s degree (with significant industry experience) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field from a reputable university. A strong passion for teaching and student engagement. A strong interest in student learning and engagement, and keen to adopt flipped classroom methods, team-based learning, and assessment for learning. Demonstrated teaching excellence, or relevant experience in industry-based education and training. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Industry experience or professional certifications relevant to your teaching areas will be an advantage. Familiarity with applied learning, competency-based education, or work-integrated learning will be an advantage. This person will join the team working on a Research Ireland Discover award in conjunction with the European Space Education Resource Office Ireland – an outreach project with national scope entitled “5*S: Space, Surveyors and Students: STEM and the Sustainable Development Goals”. This is a new part of the 5*S project and will focus on developing content for leaving certificate students, introducing them to Copernicus, spatial data and the UN SDGs. It will also explore setting up new links with Geospatial Apprentice programmes nationally.  5*S is a collaboration between Maynooth University (Departments of Geography and Education), TU Dublin, Esri Ireland, the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland, Tailte Eireann, the Office of the Chief Government Information Officer and SOLAS. The person appointed will have a proven GIS and remote sensing skillset and experience of working with Copernicus imagery appropriate to career stage. Candidates must demonstrate the capability for independent, problem focussed thinking and be enthusiastic about showcasing space data such as Copernicus. The successful candidate will be expected to visit project partners and schools all around the country and this role will also involve significant amounts of travel to schools in rural locations including overnight trips. Description NYUAD Experimental High Energy Physics group is searching for a post-doctoral associate to join the planned group's efforts to be involved in the ATLAS experiment as part of the UAE-ATLAS cluster, composed of three UAE institutions. Candidates must demonstrate experience in experimental high energy physics. The group will be contributing to the Physics Modeling (MC software, MC validation and Pileup modeling), the MET High-Level Trigger validation, optimization and performance studies, and to the heterogeneous computing where the focus will be to work on to the current efforts on accelerator developments towards the HL-LHC. Expertise in trigger development, performance and optimization and/or the ATLAS computing model is preferred. The selected candidate will work in the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The appointment will be for two years, with the possibility for renewal, subject to mutual agreement. The successful candidate is expected to take a leading role in the development of the group tasks and help in supervising PhD students.
