Established in 1990, Mykolas Romeris University is the largest university in Lithuania to specialise in social sciences. The university has two campuses, one in Vilnius and the other in Kaunas. Vilnius is the capital and largest city of Lithuania. It is situated in the southeast of the country and is home to Lithuania’s national government. Kaunas is the second largest city in Lithuania and boasts a number of cultural landmarks including Kaunas Castle and the House of Perkūnas. There are four faculties within the university: law school, public security academy, faculty of human and social sciences, and the faculty of public governance and business. These faculties offer a range of degree programmes at bachelors, master’s and doctoral level. The university was the first in Lithuania to introduce a joint studies programme with universities in France, Austria and Finland. It has also developed partnerships with higher education institutions in South Korean, Japan, China and India. In 2015 the Social Innovations Laboratory Network was established in order to facilitate the latest social, humanitarian and technological research. The network consists of 16 laboratories, as well as the Research and Innovation Support Centre. There are more than 600 scientists and researchers who work across the laboratories. On average, the university participates in about 50 national and international research projects a year.

The University of Calgary, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM) is pleased to announce the opening of one (1), or possibly two (2), full-time academic positions (Teaching stream) in Veterinary Clinical Pathology. Depending on qualifications and career track expectations, the appointments will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure track) or Associate Professor (with tenure) in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Qualifications include a DVM (or equivalent), and board certification (DACVP and/or Dipl. ECVP) is preferred but board eligible ACVP or ECVP residency-trained candidates will be considered. The candidate must be eligible for licensure in the Province of Alberta.  Appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor Teaching requires evidence or promise of teaching effectiveness or competency in teaching and learning, an awareness of how to apply scholarly approaches to teaching and learning practices, participation in reflective practice, and professional learning activities related to teaching and learning. Engagement in the research and scholarship required to maintain currency in pedagogy is required. Appointment to the rank of Associate Professor Teaching requires evidence of teaching effectiveness, a demonstrated ability to apply scholarly approaches to teaching and learning and student engagement, to design student learning experiences and assessment strategies. Continuous development of innovative teaching and that supports student learning, ability to create respectful and inclusive learning environments is required. Teaching will be a significant component of the expected distribution of effort and will include didactic, clinical and professional identity laboratories, and 4th year (clinical year) rotation teaching in the DVM program. UCVM employs a distributed veterinary teaching hospital model. Clinical duties including student rotation teaching will occur in partner specialty practices and other practice settings. Participation in collaborative student or intern-led clinical research is desired. The remainder of distribution of effort will be divided for university service engagements (such as course or rotation coordination, committee work and/or scholarly activity). UCVM's AVMA accredited DVM program provides a comprehensive general veterinary education to approximately 50 students per year, with an increased expansion to 100 students this fall 2026 semester. It aims to pioneer the XJTLU 2.0 – Syntegrative Education model to cultivate future-ready leaders. As part of its vision and mission to explore Syntegrative Education and create an entrepreneurial ecosystem, XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) comprises seven Industry-themed Schools and several campus-level platforms. The Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Hub (EEH), as one of the cross-campus innovation platforms, serves as the cornerstone for catalysing entrepreneurial learning, applied research, and venture development. EEH is led by a Director and consists of four divisions: Entrepreneurial Education, Entrepreneurship and Incubation, Enterprise and Industry Ecosystem, and Industry Executive Education. This role directly oversees Innovation Factory (ideation-to-solution testing) and X3 Co-Venture (incubation-to-acceleration) – dual engines powering XEC’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Role Overview The Director of Entrepreneurship and Incubation provides senior strategic leadership for the development, integration, and operational excellence of Innovation Factory and X3 Co-Venture. Reporting directly to the Director of EEH, in collaboration with the XEC Chief Operating Officer and Deans of School, this role drives synergies between both units to advance XEC’s entrepreneurial vision while embedding innovation across academic programmes and external partnerships. The successful candidate will demonstrate entrepreneurial acumen, forge cross-functional alliances, and influence institutional strategy to position XEC as a leader in innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialisation. Key Responsibilities and Duties Direct and provide strategic and operational leadership of Innovation Factory and X3 Co-Venture, aligning with EEH’s strategic objectives and XEC-wide priorities. Establish integrated governance frameworks, policies, and operational protocols for both units, incorporating academic, industry, and governmental perspectives. Secure and strategically allocate financial, human, and infrastructural resources to sustain growth and innovation across both units. Clinical Research Associate in the Department of Psychosis Studies

About us This is an exciting opportunity to gain and develop research skills. The post-holder will join Dr Tom Pollak’s research group and play a key role in innovative studies taking a new immunologically focussed approach to understanding and treating neuropsychiatric disorders. The group is investigating how the immune system may hold clues to how psychosis and other psychiatric disorders are caused and how people respond to treatments. We will investigate blood and cerebrospinal fluid from patients and use machine-learning to identify the treatment-relevant immune processes, with an emphasis on immune cells, autoantibodies and inflammatory markers. If we can show causal links, our work could guide future targeted immune-based interventions. The studies involve subject recruitment and collection of clinical data and bio samples (blood and cerebrospinal fluid) from patients. The main focus is on an exciting new prospective, longitudinal study aiming to assess the immunological effects of antipsychotic treatment. It is being led by a team from KCL and the Francis Crick Institute and is unique for its interdisciplinary nature, combining expertise from clinical psychiatry, immunology and neuroscience, with significant ongoing input from people with lived experience of psychosis. The post-holder will have a central role in the team and will contribute to its dynamic, friendly and supportive culture, and to its strong spirit of multidisciplinary scientific enquiry. The Department of Psychosis Studies is one of the world’s leading centres for research into psychotic disorders. We aim to advance the understanding and treatment of psychotic disorders across all stages to improve the lives of patients and their families. Our staff include clinical and non-clinical scientists with a wide range of expertise and are recognised globally as innovators of high-quality translational research. About the role The purpose of this role is to deliver exciting and innovative research studies in the Department of Psychosis Studies. Working closely with the Lead Investigators, the post holder will ensure the successful conduct and completion of the research programme. They will contribute to the collection and analysis of data and play a key role in the assessment and monitoring of participants. They will also work closely with other research staff in the project and foster effective collaborative working relationships with the local and regional services for psychosis, as well as neurology, rheumatology and neuropsychiatry services. The successful candidate will also be encouraged to deliver teaching on immunopsychiatry topics and will have the opportunity to join a unique and growing clinical immunopsychiatry service. The post-holder will have opportunities to get involved in data analysis and develop their research interests within the projects. Training in research methods will be provided, and the post-holder will develop skills in using gold-standard diagnostic and clinical ratings, which will be useful for future research and clinical practice. The post would be ideal for a clinician with an interest in the rapidly expanding field of immunopsychiatry. There is potential to develop a project for a PhD application for a suitable candidate. The start date is flexible and may be negotiated with the right candidate. This is a full-time post (40 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract for 12 months with possibility to extend. Description We are seeking researchers who are passionate about Data Science, with an emphasis in Computational Social Science, with a starting date of September 1, 2026. Some of the possible research topics include: (i) social media analysis, (ii) collaboration and teamwork, (iii) gender inequality, (iv) diversity, (v) online controlled experiments, and (vi) network science. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and hard-working with a Masters degree in Data Science, Computational Social Science, Computer Science, or Information Science, or a bachelor’s degree with several years of experience and expertise in their field. The position requires experience with at least one of the following: Data Science, Machine Learning, Computational Social Science, Big Data. Relevant skills could include statistical analysis, data management and collection, causal inference, network analysis, graph theory, visualizations, and online tool development.
