M S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) is based in Bengaluru in Karnataka State. RUAS is a private university formed in 2013 by the merger of four existing MS Ramaiah colleges – Hotel Management, Pharmacy, Dentistry and the Advanced Learning Centre.
The university has colleges of medicine, nursing, physiotherapy and education and research plus faculties of engineering, art and design, maths and physical science, management and commerce, life and allied health sciences, dentistry, pharmacy, hospital management and catering technology, social science, law, and vocational education.
The main centre is the 70 acre Gnananganthori campus, a green operation with rainwater harvesting and solar power. There are four hospitals on the campus and "Food Street", which is packed with a range of cafes, eateries and convenience stores.
Students can move around campus on electrical scooters and golf carts.
Technical subjects are concentrated at the smaller Peenya campus.
