Offering a wide range of programmes, including the unique and widely respected BA (hons) in Theology and Counselling, the School attracts students from around the globe, training them to serve Christ in the Church, academy and community. Job Summary LST is seeking two part-time Theology and Counselling faculty members to lecture, tutor, supervise and undertake professional and clinical oversight of level 4, 5 and 6 students, including setting and marking assessments, and group-work facilitation.  Key tasks also include the professional and clinical oversight of students in line with British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited course standards. Candidates must be qualified and practising psychotherapists with accreditation with the BACP or equivalent professional body. The postholders will need to be theologically well informed and be able to teach to an advanced level, covering a range of subjects and modalities relevant to an integrated theology and counselling training programme. For these two posts, we are particularly seeking applicants with specialist training and experience of integrative, Gestalt and CBT approaches to complement the existing specialisms within the team. Candidates should also be both willing and able to undertake the administration associated with the post, for example, attending Team, Programme and Academic Board meetings as well as Staff and Faculty Development Days. In addition to the aforementioned, postholders may be required to represent the department during online Open Events and professional body meetings (BACP and ACC). The successful postholders will report to the Programme Leader – Theology and Counselling. A Student Placement Opportunity for a Strength & Conditioning Coach at Surrey Sports Park, supporting the Lead S&C Coach with session planning, delivery, and relevant administration across Team Surrey, TASS and Dual Career athletes. You will also work synchronously with other members of the performance team to effectively manage athletes’ physical development and loading. The Role: The student S&C Coach will be responsible for managing their own athlete caseload, under direct supervision. Training and development, plus formal mentorship opportunities will also be provided to support university assignments and career progression. Placement students are expected to be flexible, with considerable work in late evenings and early mornings during athletic seasons. The student will work closely with other sports therapists, S&C coaches, sharing the assessment, programmes, and rehabilitation of athletes during a training week. The student coach will be expected to liaise with the whole MDT to discuss progress and advise on playing and/or training time. The student will have autonomy; however, should consult with the Lead S&C Coach before finalising any decisions regarding exercises, management, and/or loading strategies. The role will involve developing coaching style, administrative and communication skills that are required in the field of S&C. This will include using technology, platforms and apps that are used on a day to day basis for athlete and data management. The ability to think critically about coaching problems and immersing yourself in practical coaching experiences will be fundamental to this role. The student will be forward thinking and encouraged to express ideas on how to develop and improve the delivery of S&C across the Sports Park. This will include attending weekly performance team meetings to share knowledge, review exercises, report on injuries, and discuss on-going issues that will improve the working relationship within the performance team. This position is situated within the Centre for Immersification, dedicated to applied research in immersive technologies and bridging the gap between academia and industry. Research staff at the Centre have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets relevant to industry demands while working on innovative projects within the university. The research team is seeking a Research Fellow or Research Engineer with strong expertise in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and social science methodologies to lead the user research and policy development, as part of an interdisciplinary team investigating harmful user-generated content in virtual worlds as part of a national research initiative on Online Trust and Safety. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop safety guidelines such as content moderation principles for user generated content, and recommendations for pre-screening, real-time monitoring and reporting, and design experiments and interventions to investigate the effect of guidelines. The successful candidate will work with a diverse team of faculty members, engineers, and industry partners, including renown researchers at the College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS) at NTU. Technical skills, natural curiosity, versatility, and enthusiasm are highly desired traits that will enable success in this fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the research project together with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Design and execute surveys and interviews to collect data (including participant recruitment) to address the relevant research questions. Perform statistical analysis on survey/experimental data, and conduct thematic analysis on interview transcripts and open-ended survey responses. To lead and report research findings in a form of high-quality publications and present in international peer-reviewed conferences and journals. Design scenario-based experiments to test user responses to new reporting mechanisms Draft comprehensive security guidelines and reporting frameworks for virtual world users, regulators, and platform providers Validate these guidelines through consultations with expert panels and representative user groups to ensure cross-cultural relevance and clarity Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers. Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Job Requirements Have relevant competence in the areas of cybersecurity, human-computer interaction, communication, or psychology. Masters or Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Cyber Security, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology will be advantageous. Strong interest and passion in cybersecurity. Expert proficiency in mixed-methods research (Qualitative & Quantitative), experience with systematic literature reviews, survey design, semi-structured interviews, and experimental study design is required. Familiarity with statistical analysis software (such as SPSS, SAS, or R) and qualitative analysis packages Demonstrated abilities in managing research projects on the ground end-to-end, from defining research questions to publishing results.
