They should also show a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.   The appointee is expected to conduct independent and collaborative scholarly research and attract competitive grants to maintain active research programmes. He/She will take part in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and supervise research postgraduate students. He/She is also expected to perform administrative duties.
