Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences is a private, research-orientated university. The university was established in 2009 in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, India. Since its establishment, the university has been recognised by the University Grants Commission, Pharmacy Council of India, as well as being awarded a B++ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. Shoolini University is known for its green status, producing twice the amount of electricity that it consumes. The campus itself is surrounded by pine and deodar forests, making for a natural environment for students to study in. The buildings are energy efficient and there are over 100 modern laboratories, as well as an award-winning library. The sports complex and stadium offer a range of sporting activities to students, including badminton and cricket. Student societies offer extracurricular activities, such as dance, culinary arts, adventure coding, and yoga. In addition, there are also a range of community building programmes for students to get involved with. Shoolini University consists of 12 schools: agriculture; applied sciences and biotechnology; basic sciences; computer sciences; engineering and technology; English literature; hotel management; journalism and mass communication; law; management sciences; pharmaceutical sciences, and yoga. Across these schools, courses are offered at bachelor's, master's and PhD levels. To equip students with vital skills and aid them in graduate employment, the university has collaborated with companies such as Price Waterhouse Cooper (PWC), Oliver Wyman, Samsung, Yamaha and Reuters. In 2019, the university established the Centre of Excellence in Energy Science and Technology at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The new centre aimed to educate students in the latest developments in energy, train students in research and development and policy research, and facilitate the creation of highly-skilled, employable graduates to fill gaps in the current energy market. At the centre, students can study a master's in energy technology, and a PhD in energy science and technology.

Our Division has a strong track record in leading cutting edge teaching initiatives and pedagogical research. Applicants should have formal training or teaching experience in at least one of the following areas: biochemistry, pharmacology, physiology, histology, or anatomy (including gross anatomy or neuroanatomy). For anatomy focused candidates, experience in teaching human dissection is essential. Applicants should also hold a PhD in biomedical sciences or a related discipline and possess at least eight years of post-doctoral teaching experience in the higher education sector. The successful candidate should have a strong commitment to teaching excellence, an ability to contribute to curriculum development, and a proven record of effective engagement with students. S/he is expected to: demonstrate a proven track record of teaching excellence and education leadership; understand the landscape and challenges of higher education; have experience in programme management, curriculum and course design; show commitment to leading and participating in educational and professional development activities; strive for excellence in educating future health professionals; and be a strong team player with excellent communication skills. The appointee will work closely with the team on curriculum review, lead educational and pedagogical initiatives, and contribute to sharing good teaching practices and provide staff training. S/he will also be engaged in teaching undergraduate preclinical and biomedical sciences courses, student mentoring, course coordination, and other teaching-related administrative duties. Description The Embodied AI and Robotics (AIR) Laboratory in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Research Engineer to support applied research and development in artificial intelligence and robotics. The successful candidate will contribute to projects in Embodied AI, focusing on integrating AI-driven perception, reasoning, and action to enable intelligent robotic behavior across diverse environments. The position involves developing and testing embodied intelligence systems that combine vision-language-action (VLA) modeling, robotic perception and interaction, and autonomous task execution. The Research Engineer will assist in system design, software implementation, and experimental evaluation on robotic platforms, working closely with faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and students. The Embodied AI and Robotics Lab (AIR) develops intelligent robotic systems capable of understanding, learning, and acting in complex, dynamic settings. The lab’s work lies at the intersection of computer vision, multimodal learning, and robotics, advancing next-generation embodied agents that interact naturally and safely with humans and their surroundings. The lab collaborates closely with NYU’s global network, including NYU New York, and offers a vibrant, interdisciplinary research environment. As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT.  The Future Ship and System Design (FSSD) programme aims to develop strategic and innovative design capabilities for the maritime industry in Singapore and globally. Within this programme, Work Package WP2.2 focuses on research in several key areas: design Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), functional FMECA, advanced sensing techniques, sensor and operational data fusion, data analytics, and machine learning algorithms for condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, and early fault prediction in electric vessels. The primary responsibility of this role is to contribute to research in design FMECA, functional FMECA, and ship sensing, as part of the WP2.2 research team within the FSSD programme. Key Responsibilities Work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI, and research team members to manage and execute the project, ensuring that all deliverables are successfully achieved.  Key responsibilities in this project include: Developing an FMECA analysis solution that integrates condition monitoring data to update actual failure modes, effects, and severity assessments. Designing and conducting experiments to simulate various ship fault conditions, implementing sensing for data collection, and developing an equipment health monitoring system. Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations. The Research staff is to liaise with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met. Any other adhoc duties as assigned by Supervisor. Job Requirements Work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Have relevant knowledge in the areas of shipboard system design, FMECA and reliability analysis. Have a degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical engineering or equivalent. Knowledge of sensing, FMECA, equipment health management and programming will be advantageous. Knowledge of intelligent decision agents based on graph neural network or similar will an advantage. Key Competencies Good knowledge in reliability analysis. Experience in FMECA and equipment health management will be advantageous. Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Show strong initiative and take ownership of work. Based across King’s Denmark Hill, Guy’s, St Thomas’ and Waterloo campuses, our academic programme of teaching, research and clinical practice is embedded across five Departments About the role The EMBRACE Chief Operating Officer is the operational and partnership lead for the Inkfish EMBRACE (Enhanced Maternal and Baby Results with AI-supported Care and Empowerment) programme, setting up and managing the operations across the multi-partner, multiple country consortium. The post holder is required to be a highly experienced, strategic leader with expertise in artificial intelligence in the context of personalised health. EMBRACE is a visionary, multicomponent international research programme, the first of its kind in the world, supported by Inkfish with £35M core funds over six years, starting in April 2025. It is a global study of 60,000 participants, including 20,000 mothers, 20,000 infants and up to 20,000 partners. It brings together world-leading clinician scientists across six distinguished Healthcare organisations, world-leading AI & technology companies, together with premier biotech companies, with the overarching aim to fast-track major scientific breakthroughs, revolutionise maternal and early childhood health through precision-personalised interventions, powered by a groundbreaking symbiosis of cutting-edge AI combined with human support. The post holder is responsible for establishing and managing the EMBRACE programme working closely with the study Director and lead PI, Professor Josip Car (King’s College London), Senior Advisors, other members of the research leadership team and Industry partner organisations. The EMBRACE Chief Operating Officer will manage all parties within the global consortium and key stakeholders to set up and maintain an operational framework that meets the regulatory requirements of each partner country and organisation to meet EMBRACE’s ambitious goals. They will oversee day-to-day execution of decisions and contracts, including the oversight of the research teams and business operations. This includes the consortium’s financial management, project management – meeting key milestones, writing and presenting reports, establishing and overseeing the programme’s governance, ethical and regulatory compliance, and maintaining internal and external relationships including with industry partners, funders and collaborators. The EMBRACE Chief Operating Officer will provide strategic leadership, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and ensure delivery of high-impact research outcomes. This is a full time (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 01/10/2030. Please note that you will be expected to come into the office a minimum of 4 days a week.
