They should preferably have a recognized postgraduate qualification, at Master’s level or equivalent in Applied Linguistics or a related discipline. They are expected to have at least 3 years’ post-qualification teaching experience, preferably at tertiary level, or relevant professional experience. The Centre is specifically looking for candidates with competence in the following areas: (i) teaching academic literacy and communication skills at the undergraduate level; (ii) embedding digital competence and multimodal communication in teaching practice and materials design; and (iii) supporting student learning beyond the classroom through blended-learning and digital resources. Those who can integrate AI tools critically into language and communication teaching, and demonstrating adaptive teaching practice are particularly welcome.   The appointee is expected to show the ability to meet the needs of students through their teaching, as evidenced by positive student feedback, and teach across a range of courses. You will be leading the design and delivery of programs of work across academic and professional portfolios, ensuring alignment with the Pathways Framework. You will also be undertaking community engagement activities with external stakeholders including First Nations community sector stakeholders, peak bodies, schools, VET sector stakeholders and employers, as well as leading collaboration with internal stakeholders to develop and implement Pathways Framework activities relevant to the First Nations space. About you Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate, consult and influence effectively on complex and sensitive matters. Strong organisation and communication skills (including report writing), and the ability to effectively work both independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Proven experience in mentoring and supporting teams to embrace new ways of working. Extensive experience delivering complex work programs within a tertiary education environment.
