The Principal Network Engineer is a leadership and technical role responsible for the strategy, design, delivery and ongoing operation of Liverpool John Moores University’s enterprise data network across on-premises data centres and cloud environments. The role leads a team of specialist engineers, acts as the senior technical authority for the network estate, and ensures high levels of security, resilience, availability and performance to support the university’s teaching, research and business operations. You will have proven experience leading and designing enterprise-scale data networks across on-premise and cloud environments. Demonstrable experience managing Next Generation Firewall platforms and security policies. You will also have experience of server load balancing / Application Delivery Controllers. SSL certificate lifecycle management experience and excellent IPv4 routing knowledge. You will have the ability to lead, mentor and develop specialist technical teams with strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes. You will also have experience delivering and governing change in live production environments using IT service management best practice. Exciting opportunity to provide operational educational design support to Academic and Teaching staff across the School of Architecture Design and Planning Full-time, 2 years fixed term position Base Salary $103,185 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity This is an exciting opportunity to provide educational design support to academic and teaching staff across the School of Architecture Design and Planning. The Educational Design Support Officer will implement educational resources to support academic decision making and assessment improvement aligned to the needs of the program and work area. They will support and drive innovations by engaging in the review of and redevelopment of eLearning sites to ensure enhanced student learning experiences. The Educational Design Support Officer will report to the Educational Designer to support academic/teaching to provide technical expertise in the implementation of educational resources and best practice that align with the schools strategic goals. Your key responsibilities will be to: support the work area in the creation and development of educational resources to enhance student learning experience support academic and teaching staff on the effective use of educational and multimedia technologies across diverse programs of study in the school provide operational support to realise the educational design needs of the work area provide a broad range of educational design support in supporting the driving of innovation to match the teaching and curriculum needs of the school Other duties and contribute to projects appropriate within the classification level as required.
