A UK-Turkey research and development (R&D) collaboration day will take place in Newcastle, the UK, on 18 May.

The main objective of the event is to introduce the strengths of Turkey's research landscape to UK researchers, and mechanisms for funding collaboration between the two countries. It is also hoped that the event will lead to the establishment of new contacts and networks, enabling participants to benefit from the EU's Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) and position themselves in readiness for FP7.
