EARMA, the European association of research managers and administrators, and the Karlsruhe Research Centre are organising a training course on the management of research project risk, to take place on 8 and 9 November in Karlsruhe, Germany.

The level of risk in research and development (R&D) projects is usually high or very high, particularly in contractual, scheduling and financial areas, and even more so in certain risk-inherent fields of science and technology.

The training course will provide a theoretical background, risk management tools and other specific skills on the basis of experienced gained in successfully completed projects. The aim is to provide project managers and staff with the knowledge and skills required to carry out their tasks.
