The first round to negotiate an EU-Israel co-operation agreement on the development of a civil global navigation satellite system (GNSS) will be held on 17 March 2004 in Jerusalem.

Representatives of the Member States are asked to attend in order to assist the Commission throughout the meeting and are invited to inform Ms Ineke Kerezeon (mail to: ineke.kerezeon@cec.eu.int, tel.: 02 / 29 650 93) as soon as possible about their participation.

A first Community co-ordination meeting will take place on the spot at 11.30 am.
