The most popular dreams of university students have been revealed by Canadian researchers Tore Nielsen of the Sacre-Coeur Hospital in Montreal and Donald Kuiken of the University of Alberta. They studied 1,400 students at three Canadian universities and identified themes common to their dreams:

  • Being chased or pursued, but not injured
  • Sex
  • Falling
  • University, teachers and studying
  • Arriving late
  • Being on the verge of falling
  • Seeing a person now alive as dead
  • Attempting to accomplish something again and again
  • Flying through the air
  • Vividly sensing a spiritual presence
  • Failing an exam
  • Being physically attacked
  • Seeing a dead person as alive
  • Being a child again.
