Human Rights Watch has called for the release of Dariush Zahedi, an Iranian-American academic due to teach at the University of California, Berkeley, who has been held without charge by Iranian authorities since July. He travelled to Iran in June to visit his family and was detained in Tehran's Evin Prison.
