Warwick University is to charge an application fee for postgraduates to stop time-consuming speculative applications. Applicants will be charged £20 for an online application and £30 for a paper-based one. The number of applications for each taught postgraduate place at Warwick has almost doubled in the past two years. Many overseas applicants make speculative applications to a long list of institutions, which can take days to process.
