The BA festival of science, Manchester, UK

The BA, the UK organisation dedicated to the communication and appreciation of science, will hold its annual festival of science at the University of Salford in Manchester, UK, from 8 to 12 September.

The event aims to gather the top researchers from the UK and abroad to reveal the latest developments in their fields. Highlights at this year's event will include:
- A series of talks based on the theme 'sustainable science';
- Vaccines for the treatment of addiction;
- Travel - an epidemic waiting to happen;
- Impacts of climate change: glaciers, floods and sea level.
