The World congress on railway research will take place in Edinburgh, Scotland, on 28 September to 1 October 2003.
The event will focus on tackling problems and assessing new technologies for the future development of the existing railway. Subjects to be discussed include users' expectations of railway research, enhanced delivery from the railway system, innovative rolling stock, environmental issues and safety.
