We are seeking an excellent Senior Executive Assistant to join our staff in the School of Business to assist in the administration and support of our suite of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and research work. This Senior Executive Assistant will join the School as a member of this vital front facing team. It is an exciting opportunity for you to get to know all aspects of the operations of a school and make a positive impact on the lives of students, staff, the university and our external partners. The successful candidate will work as part of an administration team reporting to the Head of School or designate. This is a challenging position in a busy office and the candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to work accurately under pressure and independently. The person must be discreet, trustworthy and capable of dealing with confidential material. Job Description SCHOOL OF CREATIVE ARTS  ACADEMY OF MUSIC Associate Professor of Practice in Music Performance and Music Pedagogy (Violin, Piano) (Multiple Positions) (25260435) The Academy of Music (https://mus.hkbu.edu.hk/web/) has rapidly emerged as one of the leading institutions in Hong Kong, providing a rigorous and comprehensive music curriculum. Following HKBU’s rich liberal arts tradition, the Academy fosters creativity through performance, composition, technology, research, and pedagogy. With the new Jockey Club Campus of Creativity, the Academy further expands its capacity to inspire and nurture the next generation of creative artists. The Academy is seeking a distinguished music educator and accomplished performer for the position of Associate Professor of Practice in Music Performance and Pedagogy.  Responsibilities: Teach music performance courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; Maintain an active profile in professional performance and/or scholarly activities; and Collaborate across disciplines within the Academy and with colleagues across the University to further develop the Academy’s strengths in interdisciplinary research, teaching and knowledge transfer. Requirements: A doctoral degree in music or equivalent professional experience; and Collegiate-level teaching experience. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement, and availability of funding. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
