The Lebanese American University (LAU) is a recognized not-for-profit, private university established in 1924, chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York in the United States of America. 

LAU operates in Lebanon through its Beirut, Byblos, and New York campuses. LAU is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), and many of its schools and programs are accredited by US specialized institutions (including AACSB, ABET, ACEND, ACGME-I, ACPE, ACPHA, CCNE, NAAB, NASAD, and TEPDAD). 

With roots dating back to 1835, the university was founded as the American Junior College for Women in Beirut in 1924, later expanded as the Beirut College of Women, and became coeducational in 1973 as the Beirut University College, when the university also established an institute dedicated to women’s studies, known today as the Arab Institute for Women. 

The university maintains an enrollment of 9,000+ students and 2,000+ full-time and part-time faculty and staff. More than 57,000 alumni are part of its global community.

LAU has a long history of serving the needs of Lebanon and the Middle East. To this day, it remains at the forefront of holistic education and innovation, equipping its students with a broad foundation of knowledge and soft skills that increase their chances of employability and success.

In addition to its campuses, LAU operates two academic medical centers in Lebanon.

Its seven schools serve undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral/professional practice students across more than 60 degree-granting programs.

Job Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the Robotics and AI lab, ensuring all hardware (e.g., robotic arms, mobile robots, humanoid robots, LiDARs, cameras) and computing clusters are operational and safe Handle the procurement, inventory, and maintenance of lab equipment and electronic components Set up hardware and software environments for teaching labs and student projects Research & Development: Assist faculty and PhD students in researching and implementing state-of-the-art algorithms in SLAM, VLA and Reinforcement Learning etc Coding: Develop and maintain clean, reusable code repositories in C++ and Python for the lab's research projects Provide technical support to students and professors during lab sessions and research projects Assist in the preparation of demonstrations for visitors, industry partners, and open days Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree or above in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is preferred). At King’s Business School we equip the leaders of today and tomorrow to shape a more resilient and equitable business world for society.  About the role: We are seeking to recruit a Senior Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Quality Assurance team and oversee all quality assurance processes within the faculty. The role holder will work with professional services and academic colleagues to ensure compliance with King’s frameworks and external regulatory requirements. They will manage the annual quality cycle, curriculum reviews, and programme approval processes - driving continuous enhancement of the student experience and supporting delivery of the College Education Strategy. This is an exciting role with responsibility for leading the implementation of new systems and processes, including the transition to the College’s curriculum management system (CourseLoop), and acting as the primary liaison with central teams on quality assurance matters. They will provide expert advice to academic and professional services colleagues and represent the faculty at key committees and working groups. This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong leadership, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to anticipate and resolve risks proactively. We are looking for a candidate with deep knowledge of higher education quality assurance, proven experience in managing high-performing teams, and the confidence to influence and implement change across a complex organisation. This is a full time post and you will be offered an indefinite contract. About you:  To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: Essential criteria Substantial experience in a higher education administration environment, with an emphasis on managing quality assurance of provision. Proactive and authentic approach to leadership, experience of line management and managing high-performing teams, including motivating staff. Experience of managing projects and change, including developing innovative solutions, and implementing new processes and systems. Excellent communication skills, including experience of translating complex regulations, processes and information in suitable formats for a variety of audiences. Experience of accurately maintaining, auditing, and reporting on curriculum information, including using data to produce reports for committees and inform decision-making. Excellent task management skills and proven ability to use initiative, prioritise workloads for self and others, and respond positively to competing demands and deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills including influencing and negotiating with a range of stakeholders, with the ability to form strong professional networks. Awareness and understanding of higher education policies and current issues within the sector, and experience of working within regulatory and statutory frameworks.
