We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following positions in the School of Science and Technology: Senior Lecturer / Lecturer (S&T) (Ref: 260004S) Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Undertaking course planning, development, coordination and delivery (including classroom and clinical teaching) in related disciplines; Participating in programme development and accreditation exercise; Performing scholarly activities and increasing the publication output and raising the level of consultancies in related discipline(s); Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research project(s); Engaging in student development activities; and Participating in School / University activities and administration. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A higher degree in Artificial Intelligence, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Security, Cosmetic Science and Technology, Electronic Engineering, Environmental Studies, Intelligent Building and Construction, Life Science, Quantity Surveying, Robotics, or a related discipline; Relevant experience in the tertiary education sector; Competence in teaching / professional experience including programme development and course administration; Strong communication skills and the ability to use English as the medium of instruction; Active participation in scholarly activities / professional activities; (for Senior Lecturer); Professional qualification and industrial experience in related discipline are preferred; and A record of research funding will be an advantage. Working closely with the Program Director of Indigenous Public Health and other members of the academic team, the position will have a role in teaching and academic administration of Indigenous public health units of study within the Sydney School of Public Health and Faculty of Medicine and health covering a variety of health and wellbeing topics covered by the curriculum. Offering a wide range of programmes, including the unique and widely respected BA (hons) in Theology and Counselling, the School attracts students from around the globe, training them to serve Christ in the Church, academy and community. Job Summary LST is seeking two part-time Theology and Counselling faculty members to lecture, tutor, supervise and undertake professional and clinical oversight of level 4, 5 and 6 students, including setting and marking assessments, and group-work facilitation. Key tasks also include the professional and clinical oversight of students in line with British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited course standards. Candidates must be qualified and practising psychotherapists with accreditation with the BACP or equivalent professional body. The postholders will need to be theologically well informed and be able to teach to an advanced level, covering a range of subjects and modalities relevant to an integrated theology and counselling training programme. For these two posts, we are particularly seeking applicants with specialist training and experience of integrative, Gestalt and CBT approaches to complement the existing specialisms within the team. Candidates should also be both willing and able to undertake the administration associated with the post, for example, attending Team, Programme and Academic Board meetings as well as Staff and Faculty Development Days. In addition to the aforementioned, postholders may be required to represent the department during online Open Events and professional body meetings (BACP and ACC). The successful postholders will report to the Programme Leader – Theology and Counselling.
