Welsh rare bit

We have always known that students were different. But quite how different was not apparent before a letter in last weekend's Wales on Sunday about plans to reschedule the Welsh Football League. M. Smith of Oswestry wants to know how Shropshire pitches would be protected during the off-season and in particular, "on rented ground will men, women and students be kept off pitches?" Unless M. Smith is trying to outbid Simone de Beauvoir, it looks as though Shropshire colleges have made a staggering unheralded breakthrough in genetic engineering.
