Poland faces its first potential indictment before the European Court of Human Rights after the deportation last month of Ahmad Ammar, a Yemeni PhD student of law at Poznan University, for posing an alleged threat to the security of the Polish state. Mr Ammar, who has lived in Poland for the past 13 years, combined his studies with lecturing at the university and acting as Iman of Wielkopolska province.
