An international conference on the evaluation of government funded research and development (R&D) activities will take place on 15 and 16 May in Vienna, Austria.
The main aim of the conference is to bring together researchers, policy makers and evaluation experts interested in exchanging knowledge and experience on how to successfully evaluate R&D policies.
The conference will pay particular attention to recent scientific contributions to the understanding of effects and implications of government funded R&D activities. It will also focus on the latest theoretic, qualitative and quantitative studies and the exploration of different approaches to evaluate their effects.
The event is being jointly organised by the centre for European economic research (ZEW), Joanneum research and the platform for research and technology policy evaluation.
