Vice-chancellors were tempted to consider such cannibalism at this week's meeting of the International Universities Presidents' Forum in Cardiff.
After a drinks reception, they sat down to dinner but, before the food was served, were first treated to a Welsh choir recital. After 30 minutes, the choir sang about famine. The poor vice-chancellors were almost in tears.
