Scottish HE gets money for disabled access
Scottish higher education institutions have won £10 million from lifelong learning minister Iain Gray to help make them more accessible to students with disabilities. The Scottish Executive and the Scottish Further Education Funding Council have given colleges £26 million to secure their financial position so that they can then improve access for the disabled.

Website targets student victims of crime
The home office minister for crime reduction and community safety, John Denham, has launched a website developed in conjunction with the National Union of Students that targets students who are the victims of crime, particularly burglary.

China to enrol more students in 2003
Chinese universities plan to enrol 3.35 million students in 2003 - 150,000 more than last year - according to the ministry of education.
