One in three junior doctors working 'illegal rota'
Thousands of newly qualified doctors were today starting work at NHS hospitals but a third will work "illegal" rotas of too many hours, the British Medical Association has claimed. The junior doctors committee said that despite progress in improving the hours and conditions of junior doctors, at least one in three will be working an "illegal rota" of more than 56 hours per week.
