Research degree-awarding powers have been awarded to a university by the Privy Council following an assessment by the Quality Assurance Agency. The decision means that the University of Worcester can now award PhD and MPhil degrees in its own right. David Green, vice-chancellor of Worcester, said: "These new powers will be a great help to the university in our strategic development in the years ahead."
