A purpose-built courtroom, complete with a judge's bench, witness box and desks for the clerk and counsel, has been unveiled as a teaching aid for law students at the University of Wolverhampton. It is hoped that the new facility will help the university build on its success in last year's National Mooting Competition, in which teams of law students took part in mock trials. Wolverhampton reached the semi-finals of the contest. Brian Mitchell, dean of the School of Law, said: "This will be invaluable for our students, especially those who intend to qualify as barristers or solicitors."
