A former managing director who entered higher education in his retirement to retrain as a nurse has started his new job at the age of 63. Arthur Louis spent his entire career in manufacturing before retiring to Cyprus. After deciding that he wasn't ready for a life of leisure, he enrolled at the University of Wolverhampton in January 2007 to study for a diploma in higher education in nursing. He recently started work in an accident and emergency unit at a West Midlands hospital.
