Terje Stolsmo, a design student at the University of Teesside, was inspired to create a new shape of wine cooler unit after friends working as wine waiters in his native Norway described the square design of the current coolers in their restaurant kitchens.
Mr Stolsmo's new round cooler holds more bottles. The cooler is on display from 12 to 16 May as part of the university's annual design degree show. The event highlights the work of BA (Hons) students in graphic arts and design, design marketing and enterprise, interior and spatial design and product design. Other projects on exhibit include a sea fort and a submersible super-yacht.
