A lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender research network for northwestern England has been launched by the University of Salford. The institution hopes that the network will link research already taking place on campus with activity across the region. Steve Pugh, the network's co-ordinator, said: "As well as encouraging Salford colleagues to join up, we would like to hear from colleagues if they have contacts based elsewhere in the region who may wish to join too."
