The head of BBC North has told students in Salford that they will be in a "great position" when their institution moves next door to his. The University of Salford's new teaching, learning and research space is scheduled to open next to the BBC at the MediaCityUK development in Salford Quays in 2011. Peter Salmon, the director of BBC North, said: "Over the past few years, the BBC has built up good connections with the university and so Salford students will be in a great position when it comes to looking for graduate jobs in media."
